What a week it's been at The Emporium and there's still more music to come!
Most of you reading this will know that we are committed to supporting the arts and culture at The Emporium in Yeovil - this week saw us celebrating with a week-long music festival held in our store.
Starting last Friday, our Rock School Summer Party kicked off the week with a day full of music and fun for our 5-16 year old musicians, around 18 rock stars spent the day with us, doing what they do best... A great day which ended with a musical talent show!
Today, staff from Ukutopia Ukulele, based in The Emporium, brought us a special day "One-off Wednesday" filled with ukulele music from a whole host of in-house and visiting players. Showcasing their range of beautifully crafted ukuleles, the team did an amazing job of playing and singing, entertaining the busy cafe throughout the day.
Thursday evening, the music continues with our monthly Open Mic, held at The Mermaid in Sherborne and organised by our guitar shop, Know Strings.
Our grand finale is on Saturday afternoon, Andrea Valeri, an international guitarist from Italy, will be joining us as part of his world tour, for a superb concert. Tickets, £25, which includes a cream tea in our cafe are available in-store or in our online shop. What a way to end our Summer Music Festival at The Emporium.
