We are a shop full of beautiful independent micro-businesses and we all trade together under one roof. Think of The Emporium like a department store, all of the departments made up of different independent businesses. However, all sales are handled at our central till points, one on each floor. View our traders here.

We do occasionally have space for new traders to join us, we’d love to hear from you! Use our ‘contact us’ link, or learn more on our ‘Trade With Us’ page.

Our traders sell products and supply knowledge on a wide range of areas. Antiques and vintage items, jewellery, beautiful homewares, furniture, crafts, collectables, giftware and clothing can all be found in our store. Much of it is hand made or carefully sourced. A small selection of our stock is available in our online shop.

Yes, we love well behaved dogs, they are very welcome. Our cafe is also happy for dogs to accompany guests, see our dog-friendly link on our cafe page.

We are an old grade 2 listed shop, so modern features such as lifts are not available. We do our best to accommodate all customers and have an entrance into our upper floor via our back door, accessed via our car park off Clarence Street. This is a useful entrance for our cafe customers too. We have portable ramps for any other individual steps, please ask a member of our team for assistance. Please note, our customer toilets are located on the ground floor however. Please view this link to see the rear of the building.
